It was the mid-summer and up to 36oC as hot as our eager for the first trip together. Trong, Tuyen and Duong ever travelled to Da Nang and Hoi An several times but it was the first time for the remaining guys. Unluckily Vu might solve his family business so that he could not join the trip. But after all, he really satisfied with the dried squid and some specialities bought on our trip.
Our destination is Da Nang and Hoi An. We, 6 guys, were welcome by breeze and Trong’s old brother, Son. As the plan, we would stay at Da Nang in 6 days and visit Hoi An in 1 day. It was our longest company trip actually ^^
Da Nang is a coastal city in central Vietnam known for its long sandy beaches and history as a French colonial port. It’s also well known as a clean and friendly city in Vietnam.
Besides the fresh atmosphere, Da Nang offered us many delicious dishes generously.
Aside from the beautiful sandy beach, Da Nang has many interesting landscapes like as Ba Na hill, the Marble Mountains, Non Nuoc pagoda and Linh Ung pagoda.
This time, we spent 2 days on the Cham islands, very near Da Nang and Hoi An. There are two ways to go to the Cham islands by wood boat or canoe which is always available in Cua Dai port. We floated over the aquamarine waves to go ahead to Chong beach, a beautiful pristine beach.
Yeah! Chong beach is properly pristine one because there is no road to go to it. We might climb down to the beach through the small path. Sometimes I slipped off caused smooth stones. A little scared but a big excited feeling.
To reciprocate our effort, Chong beach feasted us a peaceful view, a colony of the young coral reef and many special kinds of seafood as Vu Nang shellfish, Bo fish, as such.
We had an unforgettable night, shared personal stories and drank beer under the sparkling stars together.
Before back to work, we had a memorable time in ancient and peaceful, Hoi An. Hoi An is in the middle of Vietnam, well known as Vietnam’s most atmospheric and delightful town. In 1999, UNESCO formally recognizes Hoi An as a World Heritage Site, is home to many temples, pagodas, and the ancient homes that bear its very unique mark.
Now, staying at the office, we still remember the blue sky, sandy beach and hospitality local people there especial Son, Trong’s old brother. We will tell about him and our remarkable barbecue on another pristine beach in next post.
