Overview
Filter Manager for Jira Cloud offers a specialized user interface that allows users to manage and view all filters and their details within Jira Cloud Apps Administration. It presents this information in a table format with various columns for a clear view.

Prerequisites
You are using Jira Cloud
Your role in Jira Cloud is Jira Administrator
Usage
View the filters list in the first menu: Filters Management
1. Click on Apps on the navigation bar, then click on Manage your apps
2. On the Filter Manager section, click on Filters Management
Columns |
Description |

Name |
Name of filters If filter’s name is red text, it is a Duplicated filter |
JQL query |
JQL query of filters If filter’s JQL query is red text, it is an Invalid JQL filter |
Boards |
Show the total number of all Dashboards and Project Boards that are using these filters |
Owner |
Show owner (user) of filters If filter’s owner is red text, it is an Inactive Owner filter |
Viewers |
Show the total number of all viewers of filters including users, groups, project roles |
Editors |
Show the total number of all editors of filters including users, groups, project roles You can view details of them by clicking on the number (Example: 2 editors) |
Use Counters to categorize the filters and count on them.
View filters in each counter: Users can click on each counter to view only the list of filters in each one.
A filter can be in different counters

Show the total number and a list of all filters in Jira Cloud using invalid JQL queries |
Inactive Owner |
Show the total number and a list of all filters in Jira Cloud having owners (users) are inactive. |
Duplicated Filter |
Show the total number and a list of all filters in Jira Cloud that using the exact same JQL query as a filter created before. |
Copy a filter and rename
1. Click on Copy icon on the filter that you want to copy
2. Rename the filter, you can’t use the name of the original filter.
3. Click on Copy
Delete a filter and also boards link to this filter
1. Click on Delete icon on the filter that you want to delete
2. Check the check box if you want to delete also boards linked to this filter
3. Click on Delete
Change the owner of a filter
1. Click on Change owner icon on the filter that you want to delete
2. Select the user that you want to be the filter’s owner
3. Click on Change owner
Change the owner of filters in bulk
1. Check the checkboxes of filters that you want to change the owner
2. Click on Change Bulk Owner
3. Select the user that you want to be the filter’s owner
4. Click on Change owner
Search for filters
You can search for filters by Filter Name
Type at least 3 characters to search filters
